I leave you with this wonderful photos of a private performance in France, near Marseille, with a dramatic backdrop.
This was a flamenco performance for Christina and Nicolas’s wedding, on the 4th June 2016 in a beautiful French countryside house.
We performed some traditional flamenco dance and then other lighter Spanish music, and we had a great ovation from the guests, who were enjoying the war summer day.
Thank you to www.alextome.com photography for the pictures.
Today, a month and a half before our performance at the Brighton Fringe show at Komedia on Wednesday 11th May is already SOLD OUT.

Meanwhile we are working in some recordings, we are hoping to end our first album by the end of the year. Some of this songs we are already performing live…
Have a great Easter

This year we saw Alma Gitana learn a lot. For a pretty new project, we are already performing in very interesting places. For 2016 we are working in our first album, and we expect to reach farther, with a show already scheduled in France!
Our singer, Javier Moreno, is travelling to India for an Indian singing retreat that will surely inspire him for the new recordings. After all, the Gipsys and their art evolved and migrated from that area of Asia hundreds of years ago.
We hope to bring you news about our recordings very soon.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,000 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 17 trips to carry that many people.

Another sold out and magnificent flamenco show at this South London cosy venue, which ended with an standing ovation.
Alma Gitana is gaining followers every day, and a Spanish “aficionado” pointed to us: “I have seen a lot of flamenco in the south of Spain, and I have to say you are really really good”.
Another member of the audience mentioned how this show, with the privilege of seeing the performers in such a close up, was much better than her recent attendance at another flamenco show in Sadler’s Wells.
Indeed flamenco is much more powerful in small settings, raw and mesmerizing.
Another sold out show at this lovely venue, we leave you with some pictures and a short clip of the night
Our show at Komedia, part of the Brighton Fringe Festival, will be our first performance in this lovely sea town, so we are really excited to perform in front of a famously warm and friendly crowd. For this occasion we will have a guest percussionist from Canary Islands, Ayose de Alejandro. The show has SOLD OUT two weeks before the date, so we are very much looking forward to it. Alma Gitana x
